Web Developer | Anime Enthusiast | Gamer
About Me
Hello! I'm Marta Carneiro, a web developer based in Barreiro with a background that spans customer service management, software development, and UX/UI design, which gives me a distinctly user-centred perspective on building products.
My journey into tech began with a transition from a career in customer service, which sharpened my communication skills and deepened my understanding of what users actually need. I went on to complete my first contracted role as a developer at Critical TechWorks, building full-stack features in a professional team environment. That experience cemented both my technical foundations and my appreciation for collaborative, process-driven development.
More recently I've been expanding into UX/UI design, going through the full process of user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design in Figma before writing a single line of code. Having experience on both sides of the design-to-development handoff has made me a more complete developer.
When I'm not coding, you'll find me exploring virtual worlds through gaming, enjoying the latest anime series, or taking walks with my dog, Lola. I'm also a movie enthusiast and a vegetarian foodie. At home, I enjoy organizing, a skill that translates well into creating clean, structured code. My diverse interests keep me inspired and bring fresh perspectives to my work as a developer.
